Satellite Internet

Satellite Internet service is a form of high-speed Internet using communications satellites in orbit land to provide Internet access for consumers.

A satellite Internet connection is basically an agreement in which the upstream (outgoing) and posterior (incoming) data are sent from and arrive to a computer via a satellite. Each subscriber's hardware includes a satellite dish and receiver (modems) operating in the microwave portion of the spectrum. His team, through the satellite modem, broadcasts the requests to an antenna satellite that is in the top of your home or business. The antenna sends and receives signals from satellites orbiting some 22,300 miles above Ecuador. While your dish maintains a clear view of the southern sky (in the U.S.), receive access to broadband Internet. Currently, satellite broadband is slower in both the uplink and downlink, compared with a DSL Internet service, for example.

Satellite Internet services are of two types. One way service using DVB-IP (Digital Video Broadcast-Internet Protocol), which is only for incoming connections. Therefore, a form of service is ideal for viewing website.
Two ways of providing services full broadband services to users. Two-way service allows high-speed access, both for download and load. This platform is ideal for home offices and small and medium enterprises. In these two way satellite Internet connection, the above data is usually sent at a slower rate below that data arrives. Thus, the connection is asymmetric. The upload speed is always slower than download speeds. An antenna plate, which measures about one and a half feet high by three feet wide and three feet deep, transmits and receives signals. Uplink speeds are variable and nominally 128 to 500 Kbps for a subscriber using a single computer or multiple. The downlink occurs at speeds ranging from 700 Kbps to 2000 Kbps, depending on factors such as Internet traffic, server capacity, the size of the downloaded files and the plan provided by service providers.

Systems Satellite Internet is a great option for people in rural areas where Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) and cable modems are not available. Now, because The technical development makes it a good choice for urban subscribers also that the needs of high-speed Internet. A satellite installation can be use even the most basic public services are scarce, if there is a generator or supply of battery power that can produce enough electricity to run a desktop system. The two-way satellite Internet option offers an always-on connection that bypasses the dial-up process. In this sense, the satellite system resembles a cable modem Internet connection. But this asset can also be a liability, unless a firewall is used to protect the computer against hack attempts.

The nature of the satellite internet connection is good for web browsing and downloading files. Due to the long latency compared with only terrestrial systems, interactive applications like online games are not compatible with satellite networks. In a double-geostationary satellite Internet connection, the transaction requires two round trips between the earth's surface and transponders 22,300 miles in orbit over Ecuador. This occurs in addition to ground-based data transfer between the center of terrestrial satellite system and access websites. The connection speed is such in theory at least 0.48 seconds (the time it takes for an electromagnetic signal to make two round trips at 186,000 miles per second to and from a geostationary satellite), and in practice is somewhat longer. Satellite systems are also prone to rain fade (degradation during heavy precipitation) and occasional brief periods of solar interference in mid-March and late September, when the sun lines up with the satellite for a few minutes each day. The rain fade and solar interference affect all satellite links from time to time, not just Internet systems.

So now there is an amazing Internet service Internet service called satellite broadband for those who can not get a cable to your home or office or for those without access to DSL. Provides a super-fast, independent duplex 2-way Internet connectivity that offers flexible, IP-based services into a single platform.

All agencies with satellite Internet services use the same technology, but have different pricing packages and customer service. But if you speaking of pricing packages, Internet services and better customer services, the HughesNet ® is one of the best among all.

Co-Channel Interference in Satellite Links Utilizing Frequency Reuse

Co-Channel Interference in Satellite Links Utilizing Frequency Reuse

$73.25

Depicted in this research is a user-friendly MATLAB program that can be used to calculate co-channel interferences, both in the downlink and the uplink of a single satellite/space-based mobile communications system that utilizes frequency reuse in spot or cellular beams. The analysis and computer code can be applied to any type of satellite or platform elevated at any height above earth. The calculation is for a given instant of time for which the system parameters are input into the program. The results obtained are for the overall carrier to interference ratio (CIR) along with CIR for both the uplink and downlink paths. An overall carrier to noise plus interference ratio (CNIR) is also calculated, which exemplifies the degradation in the carrier to noise ratio (CNR) of the system due to interference. Comparisons for systems with different system scenarios are also made. In conclusion, the co-channel interference can cause substantial degradation to the overall CNR of a system, and should be included as an integral part of the satellite link analysis.

Wireless Communications Design Handbook: Aspects of Noise, Interference and Environmental Concerns, Volume 1 Space Interference

$123.4

Volume One of the Wireless Communications Design Handbook provides an in-depth look at interference problems in satellite communications. The material presented is from a satellite or spacecraft hardware point of view rather than from theoretical models. Each satellite subsystem is described in detail to point out interference and noise problems associated with it. The book also addresses typical architectures and hardware design issues in satellites. In addition, a detailed look at space interference is discussed with emphasis on the possible impact on satellite electronics. Key Features* An applications-oriented reference for engineers, system designers, and practitioners* Addresses the most common interference concerns in ground mobile wireless communications systems* Hardware-oriented approach to interference and noise concerns as well as satellite subsystem design* All satellite subsystems described in great technical detail* Significantly covers space interference with a slanted approach to satellite hardware effects* Covers modern hardware design for low earth orbit satellites to be used in wireless communications
