Internet Speed Satellite

Does anyone have any experience with satellite Internet? Speed? Better / worse than dial-up?

We RV full time and are looking for a reliable source of Internet access wherever they are. I am well informed about the creation of a satellite TV antenna for reception of multiple satellites, so they should not have too much trouble creating a satellite Internet.

Satellite Internet is usually speeds around 400 kbps compared to dial-up with only 56 kbps. This satellite is faster. But it is still considerably slower than DSL and cable.

Is there a way around FAP(fair access policy)?
