GPS Satellite Planning

Why not charge for subscriptions GPS service companies?
Like the ones you buy for your car, currently a free service. I understand the government pays for satellite fees with tax money, but why not cash in on his business by making their machines unless able to read signs unless activated through a subscription plan of at least $ 4.99 per month with the agreement of 2 years and a cancellation fee $ 75?
Probably because most people do not want to pay $ 100 or more for a GPS system, then they have to pay for subscription services. In addition, people are asking payment of 4.99 subscription fee when they pay in taxes. It's a question of demand. I think it is still considered a luxury / of commodity and no one (me) are obliged to pay that much money. I just want to buy a map with 4.99 and set for 5 years.

GPS: Theory, Algorithms and Applications $88.00 This reference and handbook describes theory, algorithms and applications of the Global Positioning System (GPS/Galileo). It is primarily based on source-code descriptions of the KSGsoft program developed by the author at the GFZ in Potsdam. The theory and algorithms are extended and verified for a new development of a multiple functional GPS/Galileo software. Besides the concepts such as the unif… |
