I have a C-band satellite, large, there are still companies that offer satellite serivce?

I use to have it connected before, but it was hard to change channels because of all the galaxies and other types of channels. My parents threw away the box, the boxes are expensive? How much is the cost of packages of C-band channels? Is it cheaper than cable or satellite TV and Direct TV or Dish Network do? Thank you.
